Closin’ the Gap

Let your imagination fill in the reason why this fellow is running.  On the outside he looks like a hunted desperado.  But it could be only shadows of the past haunting his footsteps.  Or perhaps, he’s running from the presence of God, like the story of Jonah.  For sure God’s grace is relentless.

As David writes in the Psalms:
“Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Where can I flee from Your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, You are there.
If I make my bed in the depths, You are there.
If I ride on the wings of the dawn, If I settle on the far side of the sea,
Even there Your hand will guide me.  Your right hand will hold me fast.
Psalm 139:7-9
