White Bird

In April of 2011, Jan went on an adventure to Africa with our long-time friends and saddle makers, Dave and Rhonda Pollat.  During the winter months they brought their living-quarters and mobile shop down to Arizona where we were staying.  Dave n’ Rhonda have many hidden talents, along about 4 o’clock in the afternoon their trailer would turn coffee shop and we’d gather up for a perfectly customized latté accompanied by one of Dave’s dark-cocoa no-bake cookies.  We suffered let me tell ya! It was on these, sometimes grey afternoons that the adventurers talked and planned Africa.
Of course both artists packed sketchbooks and watercolors.
This 5″ square painting was the first piece Jan did once she was back in the good ol’ US, from her trip photos.
