Above It All

An artist was asked to paint a picture of peace. Instead of a glassy lake or a green pasture he painted a tiny bird in a nest set on a branch above a tumultuous waterfall. That image stuck with me. Rather than look for peace in my circumstances I carry Peace inside of me.  Although a candle is fairly benign symbol of life’s fiery trials, “Above It All” speaks the same message.

Whatever is going on around you, it’s what’s inside that matters.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”  -Jesus
