Buffalo Jump

Many Native American tribes depended on the buffalo for their survival and sustenance, wasting nothing that the animal provided. Historically the buffalo jump was a place where Native Americans harvested buffalo by stampeding the herd over a cliff.

This piece was inspired by the practice and the honor that the people had for this majestic animal.

It is designed to mount on the wall and the small flat place rimmed with prickly pear cactus can serve as a soap dish, key tray or ring holder.
