The world today seems to have forgotten that the male and female genders are like complementary colors. They are not in competition for power or value, they work together, each making the other stronger. Artists use this principle all the time: red, by being fully itself (red), makes green look more green and the green does the same for red in return. But if red thought it was better to be green and tried to take some green into itself, it would lose the vibrancy of both colors and move toward grey.
The western culture celebrates the strength of masculinity and rightly so, it is the perfect complement for the captivating power of feminine beauty. In the words of George Straight: “How ‘Bout Them Cowgirls.”
